Transforming fleeting moments into timeless narratives through photography and prose.
Amit Parashar is an Indian wildlife photographer, conservation storyteller and author whose work is inspired by the extraordinary beauty, mystery and fragility of the natural world. Through wildlife photography, intimate field experiences and soulful storytelling, Amit documents India's magnificent wildlife, with a particular focus on tigers, Indian national parks, tiger reserves and the landscapes that sustain them.
His wildlife photography is rooted in a deep connection with the Indian wilderness. From the forests of Panna, Ranthambore, Kanha, Bandhavgarh and other national parks and tiger reserves across India, his photographs seek to capture more than a fleeting encounter with a wild animal. Each image is an attempt to preserve a moment, a mood, a relationship and a story from the forest. Tigers, birds, mammals, landscapes and the intricate details of wilderness become subjects through which the larger story of nature and conservation can be understood.
Amit's portfolio brings together Indian wildlife photography, tiger photography, fine-art wildlife imagery, black and white photography, monochrome wildlife photography and infrared photography. His monochrome work explores the timeless character of wildlife by reducing the forest to light, shadow, texture and emotion. His infrared photography offers another perspective of India's wilderness, revealing forests and landscapes in an unusual visual language that exists beyond the spectrum normally perceived by the human eye.
Tigers hold a special place in Amit's photographic journey. His tiger photography focuses not only on the majesty of the Bengal tiger, but also on behaviour, habitat, family relationships, movement, solitude and the delicate ecological balance that allows these magnificent animals to survive. Through photographs and stories from India's tiger reserves, he hopes to create greater appreciation for the species and the wilderness it represents.
A significant part of Amit Parashar's work is connected with Panna Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh. His long-standing interest in Panna's forests, tigers and conservation story culminated in the coffee-table book "Panna: Where the Tiger Returns." The book is a visual and emotional journey through a landscape that represents both the resilience of nature and the possibility of conservation success. Through photography and narrative, it celebrates Panna's wilderness while reflecting on the importance of protecting India's remaining tiger habitats.
Beyond photography, Amit uses storytelling to explore wildlife conservation, human-wildlife relationships, forest ecosystems, responsible wildlife tourism and the profound connection between people and nature. His wildlife stories combine personal experiences from the field with observations about animal behaviour, forests, conservation and the changing relationship between humans and the natural world.
This website brings together Amit Parashar's wildlife photography portfolio, tiger photographs, Indian national park photography, conservation stories, monochrome and infrared photography, wildlife writing and selected photographic projects. It is also a space to explore the stories behind the photographs and discover the places, animals and conservation journeys that continue to inspire his work.
For Amit, wildlife photography is not simply about creating beautiful images. It is about witnessing the wild with patience and respect, preserving moments that may never happen again, and using photography as a bridge between people and nature. Every photograph carries a responsibility to tell the story of the wilderness with authenticity, sensitivity and respect.

where the untamed meets the unforgettable. This section brings together evocative narratives from deep within India’s wild landscapes—tales woven from the rustle of sal leaves, the distant call of a langur, and the silent, steady gaze of a tiger in the undergrowth. Each story blends natural history, field experiences, and personal reflection, offering not just a glimpse into the lives of wild creatures, but also the philosophies they inspire. These are more than accounts of sightings—they are soulful chronicles of coexistence, resilience, and the fragile threads that connect all life. Through words and images, each story invites you to step into the wilderness, feel its pulse, and carry its lessons back into your own world.
